Episode 107 - Simple happiness

I want to do is a quick-fire round because instead of giving you something and then explaining my perspective to you, I want to just throw a few things out there and have whatever comes to your mind first, be the thing that you go with.

Hello loves

Today I want to do a quick-fire round of some practices you can have to create some genuine happiness in your life. And I want to do is a quick-fire round because instead of giving you something and then explaining my perspective to you, I want to just throw a few things out there and have whatever comes to your mind first, be the thing that you go with.

Because do you ever find yourself wondering how some people seem to be happy all the time, as if they know a secret that you don’t know? And they can’t all always be faking it?

Well, the truth about happiness is it’s not something that happens to you and you can’t chase after it. And it’s not a one time fixes all. It’s something that you have to actively cultivate with daily habits and practices. You have to take a closer look at your routines. See what contributes to your happiness, see what takes away your happiness. See what makes you feel chaos. See what makes you feel calm. And by stepping more into what makes you feel calm, the happiness naturally follows.

So quick-fire rounds:

What can you be grateful for?
What does mindfulness mean to you?
What’s your favourite form of self care?
What simple step can you take to put a piece of movement into your day?
How can you take breaks?
How can you cultivate true connection with others?
What could make you laugh more?
What is something new you could learn every day?
How can you show kindness to others?

That’s it. There’s no doubt that kindness to others boosts our mood and contributing to our long-term happiness. So with kindness to others does that surely kindness to ourselves does that.

And remember, you are worth it and you get to choose. Have a lovely day.
