Episode 92 – how to connect the happiness dots in a luck journal

Episode 092 - How to connect the happiness dots in a luck journal

When was the last time you felt lucky? I’d hazard a guess that most of the time you think that others are lucky, and the only luck you tend to find is bad luck.

Fate. Destiny. Kismet. Serendipity. Whatever you want to call luck, it’s as if it’s always connected to our most happiest moments. Sometimes, it turns out our most difficult times were a wonderful stroke of luck too.

And what about when it comes to making your own luck? Or manifesting? Just wishing for something doesn’t make it so.

Creating a journal based upon looking for surprising and valuable discoveries can help to spot you have more good in your life than you realise. And I know that you can do this, because if you can pick apart a couple of not-so-great events to connect the dots on what went wrong, then you can definitely do the same for connecting dots of what went right!

If you’d like to know more on how to shift your stories, reach out to me to see if my SHIFT to alignment coaching programme is a fit for you.

Hello loves, today I’m talking about how to connect the happiness dots in a luck journal. Potentially my weirdest podcast title ever…

Action needs to be taken, which involves planning, preparation, and effort. Along the way some surprise value often pops up in the form of unexpected findings or opportunities. Both aspects come down to our own beliefs of what we can and can’t achieve.

There’s 5 things to consider here.

1. Are you spending your day how you want? Amongst all the responsibilities you have, are you carving out time to do something that you enjoy and makes you feel free, creative, independent, like you have a choice?

2. Remember the movie Sliding Doors? When you are thinking over something that happened, what could have happened if a different decision had been made? Think of as many different possible outcomes as you can, and what your role in each of them would have been. Could you have changed the outcome by saying or doing something differently.

3. Now looking back over the last year or so, think of 3-5 moments of luck that you had. No matter how small. One example for me is a fleeting comment made by someone about someone else, that led me to discover that said someone else and I have something big in common and that person has now become a very important part of my life. What has happened for you, that you can connect the dots to now.

Before I talk about the last two, I want to share that I am creating a free mini course, a mini SHIFT.

It is a taster of my SHIFT to Alignment 8-week experience designed to take you from drained to sustained, chaos to calm, uncertain to confident, into the most aligned, powerful and magical version of yourself.

My SHIFT to Alignment programme is more than just coaching. It’s nurturing, expansive, guidance, and strategy rolled into one, and you will literally have me at the other end of the phone cheerleading you as you progress, grow, and SHIFT.

In SHIFT to Alignment we work through your mindset blocks, and we work through ways to work best with your body, flaws and all, and see it for the powerhouse that it truly is, and much stronger than you think, as you find balance with energy and hormones with a chronic illness.

And now you can have a taster of that in this free mini SHIFT. Five bite-sized units that you complete at your own pace. Doing this work has such a profound impact on my life. Not by giving me all the answers, but because as life changes, new things come up, and as we heal one thing it makes us stronger to take on the next. The work I put into SHIFT gave me the potential for massive, focused action that I had inside me to create change. And that potential resides in you, too.

You can get on to the waitlist at lifeinalign.com/minishift. I hope you check it out because everything on there is something that I have personally tested to deal with my illness, and as I worked through my childlessness grief, and have seen great results with clients.

Ok, 4. Still in the same timeframe, what moments of excitement have you had that you did nothing about. Do they still make you excited? If yes, what can you do about it now?

5. Lastly, still thinking about number 4, note down the things that you can no longer affect, and regret. Did you have the opportunity to speak to someone, and didn’t, and unlikely to see them again. Was there something you wanted to do, but didn’t, and now it’s no longer available. These are the ones that definitely need you to connect the dots. These are the ones that, if you’re honest with yourself, will likely have a pattern of a fear of some form of rejection.

When you can spot the patterns, and know your responsibility in them, that’s when you can do something to change them.

And that is it for this week. Thanks for listening to this episode of the Life in Align podcast. Everything I mentioned in this episode can be found in the show notes at lifeinalign.com/link-me. You will find the link in the podcast notes too.

And remember – you are worth it, and you get to choose.

Have a lovely day.
